This is a painting that was done in mid January just before a storm came in to the Salinas Valley. It was painted from one of my favorite spots on River Road.

- I have been painting for about 30 years. I have a Masters in Art (Painting) from San Jose State University (1985). Most of my work has been in watercolor, but I switched to oils a few years ago and then got into plein air painting. I retired from my day job in social work in 2006 and now I paint every day.
