andy williams studio

This blog was originally my attempt at creating "a painting a day". After trying that for a while I realized that it was shaping the direction of my work too much. I was concentrating on small paintings, mostly still lifes. I decided I needed to relax my structure so that I could do more large paintings. Here are some of them.

A few new paintings

Here are a few new paintings. I have been painting a lot lately in preparation for all the upcoming shows.

About Me

Andy Williams: I have been painting for about 30 years. I have a Masters in Art (Painting) from San Jose State University (1985). Most of my work has been in watercolor, but I switched to oils a few years ago and then got into plein air painting. I retired from my day job in social work in 2006 and now I paint every day.
